Over the weekend, UR Enough hosted their first community event in Toronto! Let’s just take that in for a moment…
We were a small group, but a mighty group at that. As we all know it can take some major self-talk and willpower to get out of bed early in the morning, let alone on a Saturday morning, all to just be physically active.
[I mean let’s get real here for a second — TIFF is currently happening. We have movies that we want to watch and places that we want to be on our Friday night.]
But what was most spectacular was that we were all there with the same intentions; there is no better of a feeling than bringing a group of beautiful souls together to merely celebrate their bodies, their health and their community. Everyone in that room was celebrating their own ‘enough-ness’. It is because of this positive mindset and our feelings of gratitude that we are already working diligently on our next community event. We strongly believe in this mighty community of ours, and while it continues to grow we hope that we may continue to dream, create, and inspire.
A huge thank-you needs to be shared with our own UR Enough team member, Thalia Kane. For the most of us, this was our first Eccentrics class and, after the burn we felt from your workout, I can assure you that it will not be our last. Your energy throughout the whole class was contagious and it powered us until the bitter end. So thank-you for leaving us all inspired with smiles upon our faces.
Thank-you to Belmonte Raw Juice for your contribution to the event and rejuvenating us with your organic cold-pressed juices.
And to the participants who came out to experience the event, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for your kind donations. All proceeds raised were donated to the National Eating Disorder Information Centre.
We hope that you all have an amazing week.
