In just a little under two months, the UR Enough team will be participating in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon with the goal of raising money for the National Eating Disorder Information Centre. This event will be held on October 22, 2017 in Toronto, Canada.
If you haven’t yet heard of this organization, NEDIC is a non-profit organization that provides supportive resources on eating disorders, and food and weight preoccupation. They not only have additional educational programs that target children and youth and professional development, but they are Canada’s ONLY National Toll-Free Helpline. They provide information on treatment options, and support to people across Canada either directly or indirectly affected by disordered eating.
At UR Enough, we believe that one person has the ability to make a difference, but it’s when people come together as a community that they can create a movement.
And so, this is the part that we ask you to join us.
Whether you are a seasoned runner, or your idea of a marathon is the six seasons you’ve found on Netflix, this is a race that is fit for all abilities. While the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is an annual marathon, the race day also includes a half marathon and 5 km race.
For registration instruction, please visit the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon page.
If you are unable to participate in this years event, you can still support the UR Enough team. Click here to donate in support of NEDIC.
